When my husband and I first began our search for a home back in 1999 (yes, I’m that old) , we were young and didn’t know much about anything in the real estate world. We didn’t know to look for signs of water damage or rotting wood. And negotiating? Even 20 years later, the word alone makes me break out in a cold sweat.
