Meet Dori; Mind, Body, Soul LLC

I have been interested and invested in natural and holistic health for most of my life. Growing up with a father who was a label reading, chemical engineer and a mother who cooked everything from scratch; we were sourcing food, checking labels, and eating healthfully long before these things were popular.

Today, healthy living tips are everywhere. A quick internet search will reveal just one thing; that there is no one way of eating, moving or supplementing, that works for everyone. Although the basics of clean food, water, air, movement, and some sort of emotional/spiritual connectedness seem to be the commonalities with most of these recommendations, the one thing that is clear, is that nothing is clear.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to take a day to day snapshot of your body to determine what foods to eat on any given day? What if there was?

Meet Dori Trossen, a health and wellness coach and the founder of Mind Body Soul LLC. After struggling to find the answers to her own health issues, Dori began the work of becoming a health coach herself. She specializes in helping clients address issues in the areas of immune issues, thyroid issues, eczema, and food sensitivities.

Using Whole Foods as the basis for her program, Dori also utilizes BioResonance therapy to help determine the specific needs and preferences of each individual.

BioResonace works by connecting a person to a Bicom machine which checks the energy wavelengths coming from your body. The practitioner then makes recommendations about diet, supplements, herbs, homeopathy, etc based on how the machine shows them to interact with your individual body . Other names for BioResonance include: Electrodermal testing, Bio-physical information therapy, BIT; Bio-energetic therapy; Energy medicine, Vibrational medicine. You can read more about it here.

Now admittedly, even though I feel like I am a fairly open person; both believing in things I cannot see and trusting that the body does have ways to show up paths to health that we sometimes don’t understand, I was unsure of the accuracy of bioressonace part of this equation. Before I could complete this blog post, I needed to try it out for myself, and Dori graciously agreed to give me a quick scan.

I sat for about 10 minutes with headphones on that were connected to the bioressonance machine. I personally didn’t feel anything and was able to talk with Dori as the machine did its thing. Without going into too much detail (I’ll uncover more after I go for a follow up appointment), the machine was able to pick up on things that Dori would have no way of knowing. One of these things was some elbow pain. Once the machine is finished with the scan, an image of each part of the body and its internal systems shows a series of colored shapes that indicate the health (or lack thereof) of each area. For the last several days, I had woken up with pain in my left elbow. On the scan, my left elbow showed black triangles indicating that something was going on. The scan also picked up a sluggish gall bladder. Both my mother and grandmother had gall bladder issues, so at the least, this was very interesting. There were other things that came up as well, but those two were the most significant. Dori suggested a fairly common and inexpensive herb as well as liver supportive foods; liver and ferments in particular. I have been implementing her suggestions for a few weeks now and do feel different. We will see what the scan says.

Now typically, one would would have a pre-scan appointment with Dori. Every appointment begins with a free, 30 minute discovery phone call. During this call, the goals and needs of the client will be established. From there, a 90 minute, in person appointment will include health history and a full body scan. The sum of both will help determine the path forward. Follow up appointments help to refine the process.

If you are looking to dive right into your health journey, Dori also offers a 12 week jump start program for those with autoimmune, thyroid, eczema and food sensitivities. Judging from the feedback from clients and the interesting results and simple suggestions to regain health based on my own scan, I am adding Dori to my list of recommended practitioners.
